About Gail Witte & YoGail Studio

My path to yoga began during a period of mental and emotional struggle, when I was searching for a healthier way to show up in my life.
What started as a personal search for relief gradually became a deep commitment to study, practice, and ultimately share yoga as a sustainable, real-life tool—both on and off the mat.
I completed my initial yoga teacher training in Washington, D.C., followed by advanced training in New York, where I deeply connected with my teacher’s approach and the traditional lineage behind the work. The clarity, depth, and integrity of that training shaped how I understand yoga as a living practice rather than a modern trend.
In 2016, I completed advanced yoga training—comparable to graduate-level study—and later made the intentional decision to retake my foundational 200-hour training so that all of my education would be rooted within the same lineage. I went on to complete yoga therapy training in Pennsylvania, representing the highest level of formal yoga education short of Ayurvedic doctoral study. In total, I have completed well over 1,000 hours of training and personal practice.
My teaching is grounded in classical yogic tradition—knowledge passed down through centuries of lived experience. This approach emphasizes balance, discernment, and compassion, recognizing that growth comes not from perfection, but from awareness and honest self-inquiry. Yoga transformed how I relate to myself and others, deepening my understanding of how stress, trauma, and unmet needs shape our physical and emotional lives.
Today, my classes and yoga therapy sessions focus on physical nuance, nervous system support, and practical application, offering students tools they can carry into daily life with clarity, resilience, and intention.
