While organizing my upcoming Early Morning Reset (think of it as an early morning retreat for one week) I started to realize I wasn't sure what the different classifications were for the various types of Ayurvedic professionals are. So I turned to my Spirit Sister Cassandra Crnich, a fellow Yoga and Movement therapist and future Ayurvedic Doctor and she broke it down for me:
Ayurvedic Health Counselor - Can offer preventative health care practices, such as dietary guidance or lifestyle adjustments.
Ayurvedic Practitioner - Also advises on lifestyle, but can ALSO diagnose and treat disease. Similar to a Nurse Practitioner.
Ayurvedic Doctor - There are 8 branches of Ayurveda which include pediatric care, gynecology, and surgery. An Ayurvedic Doctor is very similar to a Western Doctor.
When Eastern and Western models are combined, there is no better health care!!
As I mentioned above, I'll be hosting and teaching an Early Morning Reset October 4-8, 7-8am. The intention is to take on morning practices that put us in the driver's seat of our day.
