I have the best news! There's more to it!! Yoga gives us tools on and off the mat to help us live our best lives. So jump off the mat and come with me into a bite sized introduction to Ayurveda the sister science to yoga.
So, what IS Ayurveda? Dr. Vasant Lad is a world-renowned expert on the practices and heath benefits of Ayurvedic medicine, writes the following in the first few paragraphs of his book The Complete Book of Ayurvedic Home Remedies.
"Ayurveda, the science of life, is both systematized knowledge and practical wisdom, an art of healthy living that encompasses all phases of life, body, mind, and spirit."
